Peace Through Hip-Hop

WE’RE PROUD OF OUR PARTNERS

HH4PEACE 50: Celebrating West Coast Hip Hop (HH4PEACE 50) is a series of community events and on-site activations, designed to amplify West Coast hip-hop history and address important issues in black, brown, and indigenous local communities. Illuminated by the 50th anniversary of hip-hop this year and in support of the International Decade for People of African Descent, the goals of the campaign include increasing tourism, economic empowerment, reducing gun violence, recognizing women in hip-hop, and providing healthful living alternatives. The HH4PEACE 50 Planning Committee consists of elected officials, community advocates, hip-hop artists, music industry titans, and international dignitaries.

Hip Hop 4 Peace (HH4PEACE) is a global coalition of individuals, organizations, and companies that seek to promote peace through hip-hop culture and music during this International Decade for People of African Descent. By using our collective voices, we seek to: reduce gun violence; remove social, economic, and health barriers to peace;
restore peace as the foundation of hip-hop culture. Our events support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16, Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, with emphasis on black, brown, indigenous, and Diaspora communities.

4 the CULTURE Retreat © is an initiative created by Hip Hop 4 Peace (HH4PEACE) to provide a free backstage cultural wellness respite for artists and crew. From the strength of our ancestors and the wisdom of our indigenous elders, curated focus areas explore the four different types of self-awareness through the Casel framework (Aspirational, Perceptual, Relational, and Somatic Awareness). 4 the CULTURE Retreat is a serene pop-up refuge from the vigors of production and life on the road.

Hip Hop Relief Fund (HHRF) was established by the Hip Hop 4 Peace Foundation to provide temporary assistance in times of financial distress or urgent need to hip-hop artists and their families, and those in the hip-hop creative ecosystem.
Our support areas include funerals, burials and interments, and extraordinary medical expenses due to gun violence.
